Can't Ignore the Tibet Demostrations

To be honest I've lost the angel of the demonstrations with the relaying of the Olympic torch. From what I can gather it's about violence and the restrictions of free speech in Tibet. But haven't many of the demonstrations been the exact opposite from the message that the protesters are saying they're about?

Most of the demonstrations so far have been mildly violent, innocent people being pushed out of the way and knocked to the ground as the torch-carriers are grappled with?

My view is that these demonstrators may have a legitimate point of view, but presenting it in this way only be seen as hypocritical. Wouldn't there be a better way of getting your message accross?

It just seems the point of the demonstrations have got lost and the demonstrations themselves have become the news ....

well it only shows that they are humans....for years they have been under repression....be it their culture, faith or their very existence.....so if the demonstrations turn violent then its china's own doing and not the other way round....
i agree that sports and politics should not be mingled but surely one can't ignore the Tibet demonstrations ever because serious human rights violations have appeared and its only time that we broaden our view and see things the way it is.....
its very easy to pass jugdements from where you sit and talk....
i have witnessed the aftermath of these human rights violation in tibet in dharmshala, a hill station in india where several tibetans have taken shelter and after meeting with the the prime minister of the tibetan government in exile.....seeing orphan and semi orphan tibetan children who are here to learn about their culture in india as in china controlled tibet the culture's future is bleak thanks to han chinese influx.....
i think i have said enough but first you should try and learn the dynamics of the situation....
thanks
